The Importance of Regular Lincoln Tire Rotation

Tire rotation is a crucial aspect of maintaining your vehicle’s performance and safety. For luxury vehicles like Lincoln models, where precise handling and smooth rides are paramount, tire rotation becomes even more essential. Uneven tire wear can lead to decreased handling capabilities and put strain on your suspension system. By scheduling routine Lincoln tire rotation, you’re not just maintaining your tires—you’re preserving the performance integrity of your entire vehicle. more Signs It’s Time for a Tire Rotation for Your Lincoln Vehicle Recognizing the signs that your Lincoln needs a tire rotation can save you from larger, more costly issues down the road. As a general rule, tire rotation should be performed around every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, though you should always consult your owner's manual for the manufacturer’s recommendations. For those who frequently drive in challenging conditions, such as on wet or uneven terrain, more frequent rotations may be necessary. Properly timed tire rotations ensure that your Lincoln maintains optimal performance and reduces the risk of long-term issues. 3 Suspension Adjustment Services at Your Lincoln Dealership

Your car's suspension helps to keep the tires in contact with the road, and it absorbs bumps and jolts to make driving smoother. In time, age, or damage can cause suspension problems. As your Lincoln dealership, we want to tell you a few signs you need to visit us for a suspension service. Bumpy Ride One of the signs of a suspension problem is that you'll feel jolts even on a relatively smooth road. If you're driving on rougher terrain, the bumping feeling becomes stronger, and your Lincoln may feel as if it's swaying from side to side. This can also reduce control and handling, increase your braking distance, and reduce fuel efficiency. A common cause of this is worn shocks. The shocks are generally behind your car’s tires, and they assist in smooth driving by helping the suspension movement of your car. They also reduce wear and tear on the axles and tires. We'll examine your shocks and can replace them for you if needed. more Unusual Tire Wear Cupping or scalloping is an unusual wear pattern on tires caused by suspension problems. When your suspension is in good condition and your tires are correctly inflated and balanced, the tread hits the surface evenly, producing a regular surface wear pattern. If you notice that there are some high points in the tire and then some low points, this can indicate that your vehicle may have suspension parts that are worn out and is contacting the road unevenly. Damaged struts or worn shocks cause the tires to hit the ground harder than they should. Once we've repaired the suspension problem, we'll carefully examine your tires. We can provide Lincoln tire service and see if the wear is minor or if they've been seriously damaged, we can replace your tires. Nose-Diving or Squatting Nose-diving happens when you brake and the front of your Lincoln points toward the ground instead of remaining level. Squatting can happen when you are accelerating, and you will notice that the rear of your Lincoln is sinking toward the ground. Both these conditions can get caused by suspension problems, as the suspension is also responsible for keeping your vehicle level and stable at all times. Suspension wear doesn't affect the front and rear of your vehicle equally, as either section can suffer more damage than the other due to weight distribution. 4 Signs Your Lincoln Brake System Needs an Inspection

The brake pads and rotors of your car are constructed with premium materials for exceptionally smooth, reliable braking. With regular inspections and servicing at your Lincoln dealership, you'll keep your brakes at maximum stopping power. It's also important to know the symptoms of worn-out components so you can have quick repairs and replacements carried out. There are signs to tell that your car needs brake maintenance and below we explore some top signs. How Do You Know If You Need Brake Service? Wobbling Sensations When braking, if you feel wobbling or pulsating in the pedal or steering wheel, there can be a problem with one of the rotors. These sturdy parts generate friction with the brake pads and steadily wear down over time. A damaged or rotor that is wearing unevenly can create wobbling vibrations. Sometimes, a rotor can be restored with a resurfacing process, but if your damaged rotor is too old and thin, it will have to go. more Screeching Noises If your brakes are still strong but you hear a screeching sound when you use them, one of your brake pads may need replacing. The friction layer of a brake pad wears away a little more each time you brake. Eventually, a small metal tab is uncovered, which scrapes against the rotor, generating a distinct screeching noise to let the driver know it's time for a new pad. Squishy Brake Pedal Brake pedals become squishy when hydraulic force is reduced inside the brake lines. If your brake pedal feels softer when you press it, pull over to check for the brake fluid level. The brake lines are filled with brake fluid, which maintains hydraulic pressure, and if there is a brake fluid leak, it can lessen this hydraulic pressure, weakening the brake signal. Veering to the Side Is your car veering to one side when braking? This can be for various reasons such as the brake pads wearing at an uneven rate, a brake fluid leak, or it can be a brake caliper problem and how its working when braking. Need Prompt Brake Maintenance in Pensacola, FL? Come to Our Lincoln Dealership The brake system is an important part of your vehicle to routinely keep an eye on throughout the year. Be sure to come in for a thorough inspection by a professional  so that your Lincoln can get the certified brake service it needs. Your vehicle’s exhaust system is responsible for removing gases from your engine through a series of pipes beneath the body of your vehicle. When your exhaust system is leaking or your engine is noisy, you will need to book exhaust maintenance as soon as possible to keep your vehicle's emissions low. What services can you find at your local Lincoln dealership? Three Exhaust System Services Available at Your Lincoln Dealership 1. Exhaust Inspection Your local dealership can perform routine exhaust system inspections to identify potential issues like rust buildup, leaks, and broken parts. Routine inspections may need to be scheduled more often if you expose your vehicle to harsh elements, such as driving near salt water or traveling off-road. It's ideal to check the recommended service interval for this system in your Lincoln model’s owner manual. more 2. Exhaust System Repairs The mechanics at your Lincoln service department can repair all parts of your exhaust system, such as the catalytic converter, exhaust pipes, manifold gasket, muffler, tailpipes, and more. If exhaust system leaks have caused electrical wiring and insulation in your engine, a mechanic can also replace these damaged parts. 3. Exhaust System Replacement Sometimes, parts of your exhaust system can be damaged by road debris or minor fender benders. If your muffler or tailpipe is damaged, your exhaust system may not effectively remove gases from your engine. Damaged mufflers can cause your engine to sound noisy, misfire, or produce an unusually strong odor. Replacing a damaged muffler or tailpipe can generally be a quick and simple repair. Damage to a tailpipe can be visible, such as cracks or holes, while damage to your muffler may cause your tailpipe to drag behind your vehicle. In some cases, you may notice condensation on the visible portion of the exhaust pipe, which can indicate a bad muffler. How Do You Schedule Exhaust Maintenance in Pensacola, FL? Transmission Service in Pensacola, FL

3 Transmission Maintenance Services at Your Lincoln Dealership

The engine generates energy, which the transmission transfers to the wheels so they move at the required speed. Worn or damaged transmission components can cause many problems, ranging from strange noises to leaks to gears that won't shift. As your Lincoln dealership, we'd like you to know some signs you need to visit us for a transmission service. 3 Signs You Need To Visit Your Lincoln Dealership for a Transmission Service Delayed Shifting When you accelerate or decelerate, the transmission sends instructions to the sensors in the transmission to shift gears. A healthy transmission responds in seconds and smoothly and silently changes gears. As time passes, problems can develop, and the gears will take longer to shift than they should. While this issue may seem minor at first, it will become more troublesome, and if not repaired, the transmission could be seriously damaged. A common reason for delayed shifting is low transmission fluid. This fluid performs many important tasks, but a very crucial job is to provide the hydraulic power that shifts the gears. A leak or a blocked transmission filter reduces the available fluid, and you'll hear strange noises as the transmission struggles to shift gears. We'll find the cause of the problem and repair it. more Blocked Transmission Filter The transmission filter removes dirt, tiny pieces of metal, and other debris that the fluid absorbs as it circulates through the transmission. This is an important task, as too much debris in the fluid causes it to slow down, and the transmission won't work efficiently. If the transmission hasn't been serviced for a while, the accumulated debris can block the filter. Transmission fluid helps control the temperature inside the transmission, and a blocked filter can cause the transmission to overheat. Additionally, many components depend on the fluid to protect them against friction damage. Without this protection, the transmission will become noisy, and wear and tear on components will increase. Our technicians will drain and replace the old fluid and install a new filter to fix this issue. Check Engine Light An illuminated check engine light can mean something is wrong with the engine, but it can also signal a problem with the transmission. The engine and transmission work so closely together that a problem with the transmission will automatically affect the engine. If the transmission isn't working correctly, the engine will generate more energy to try and fix the problem. As the engine works harder to supply more power, wear and tear on engine components increases. Sensors will inform your computer of the problem, and it will activate the check engine light. We'll examine your engine and transmission, and once the issue is fixed, the light will go out. Book Your Lincoln Transmission Service in Pensacola, FL Today If you have a problem with your transmission, contact us right away at Astro Lincoln in Pensacola, FL.

It's beneficial to customize your lease terms to fit your financial situation. A longer lease term may be best for drivers who want a lower monthly payment. If you prefer to upgrade your Lincoln frequently to access new features, a short-term lease is ideal. In addition to the length of your lease term, you can customize your lease agreement by selecting an annual mileage option that is suitable for your driving habits. Mileage plans start at 5,000 miles each year, which might be a good option if you drive your vehicle infrequently. Weekday commuters might want to have a longer mileage plan, such as 10,000 miles per year. more 2. Lincoln Scheduled Maintenance: What Owners Should Know

Lincoln maintenance is very different from service anywhere else. It's performed by Lincoln-trained technicians who have expert knowledge of your vehicle. Their specialized knowledge and training enable them to provide the high standard of care your Lincoln deserves. As your Lincoln dealer, we want to give you some examples of the types of maintenance we provide. Examples of Lincoln Maintenance Available at Your Lincoln Dealer Tire Pressure Checks Your tires have a pre-determined pressure that allows them to work effectively and suffer minimal wear and tear in the process. The correct tire pressure for your Lincoln is determined in the design phase and is listed in your car handbook. Tire pressure will naturally change when the weather is hot or cold, as the pressure inside the tires will try to equalize with the external air pressure. Over or underinflated tires sustain more surface friction damage, causing them to wear out faster. They are also more likely to develop leaks or blowouts. The wrong tire pressure increases your stopping distance while increasing damage to other components like the axles, shocks, and brakes. We'll check your tire pressure and correct any pressure issues we find. more Wiper Blade Replacement Your wiper blades are made from high-quality rubber, enabling them to swiftly clear water or mud and give you the visibility you need. As time passes, even high-quality rubber is affected by weather conditions and age, and the rubber loses its flexibility. Less flexible rubber will crack, and cracks can cause parts of the blade to break off. Worn blades can't clean your windshield effectively, making it more difficult to see the road ahead. They can also potentially scratch the glass, and scratches will develop into cracks in the windshield. Our technicians can quickly replace worn or damaged blades to fix this problem. Radiator Hose Replacement The radiator's job is to remove engine heat to protect your engine against overheating. Heat is absorbed by the coolant and transported to the radiator, where it's removed by heat exchange. The radiator is connected to the cooling system by two tough rubber hoses, specifically engineered to withstand temperatures over 300 F. The hoses carry hot liquid under high pressure, which eventually takes its toll on the rubber. Cracks can develop, and coolant will leak out. As coolant is lost, pressure in the cooling system drops, and your engine could overheat. The clamps that securely connect the hoses to the radiator can also loosen or break. We can replace damaged hoses or fit new clamps to fix this problem. These are just a few samples of the maintenance we can perform. Regular maintenance increases your Lincoln's lifespan, as our technicians can identify minor issues and fix them to prevent them from becoming future problems.
